When creating a blank playlist (for an unscheduled program), the New Playlist form defaults to the first category in alphabetical order. (Similarly, when creating a new show, it defaults to the same.) For stations with an “Automation” category like our own, having this be the default has meant DJs will sometimes accidentally be set to “Automation” even though it isn’t.
Having the option to specify a default (such as “Music”) would be greatly appreciated as it could mitigate this, as well as save time when creating shows.
