Good day, KBCS is experience ‘ghosting metadata’ for program descriptions and times with shows that are NO LONGER part of our program scheduled. I’ve attached images to this message of recent discoveries for our morning programming and 5pm evening music. The images are showing Program information for programs that are NO LONGER in these scheduled spots.
When I search for DJ or program in the KBCS Spinitron account, yes there are OLD playlists and program information, but…if I retired the program, a long while ago, year or so for one or two of them:
- How do we update this metadata display information?
- When retiring a program and setting up a new program, can the new program details replace the older program information?
- Would we have to delete all retired program playlists for the new program metadata to update properly? (a tedious task but doable). I might try this today for the evening music program but it is a lot of playlists.
- Is there a ‘bulk’ delete of old playlists?
This information on attached images, appears on my iPhone lock screen, and when re-posting a program that is currently schedule to sites like LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram. Like when I re-post my hosting of 5-7pm Evening Roots Rock + Soul, the Judy Lindsay information will appear on the post as a carryover image, but NOT the updated program information. I have to re-adjust and send post differently to avoid this cascading incorrect metadata.
Suggestions? Answers?
I’m looking forward to the Webinar, but understand it might be more listening and learning than asking this type of specific issue.
Please let me know any thoughts or details on updating this level of metadata exchange for program information.
- How do we update program details to reflect the changes to our program schedule? Again, the information you see on these images were take this week and ARE NOT the current programs at these times.
thanks for attention to this topic.
