NPR Cadence requires end times in playlist log files. As far as we understand, you will receive validation errors in Cadence if your playlist log has any spins with a missing end-time/duration field.
As usual, you can prepare a playlist log in Spinitron using the Report: SoundExchange form.
If any spins in your playlists in Spinitron lack a value for duration/end-time when you prepare an NPR Cadence SoundExchange playlist log then Spinitron has nothing for those spins and leaves their end-time field empty in the report it produces.
As of today (Sep 14 2026) Spinitron now gives a warning if any of the spins have a missing end-time in the report. It looks like this:
It displays the total number of spins with missing end-time and shows the time-stamps of the first 15 of them.
Donβt send a report with any missing end times to NPR Cadence via FTP.
Feel free to download (or email or copy-paste) the report and make any changes you choose before uploading it to the NPR Cadence web site.
Alternatively you can fix the spins in your playlists in Spinitron, using the time-stamps displayed in the warning as a guide, and, when there are none without end-time, FTP the report to NPR Cadence.
